Archivio della nunziature, ca. 1500-[19--].

The records generated by each delegation, internunciature, and nunciature constitute a substantial amount of material collectively known as the Archivio delle nunziature. Inactive records generated by a nunciature at its particular foreign location are required to be deposited in the ASV. These records constitute the Archivio delle nunziature. Because of the vast quantity of these records, they are described in a separate section in this guide. Note also that the Secretary of State office in the Vatican generates files on nunciatures as well. Nunciature material generated by the central office of the secretary is described within this section of this guide, under titles beginning Nunziatura di. . . .
